CANTIENICA® Body in Evolution was developed by the Swiss Benita Cantieni.

The Cantienica® method is a deep muscle training that aligns, straightens and strengthens your body from within. This method helps to better understand the relationship between the skeleton, fascias  and musculature with the aim to detect painful habits and change them. It is an up-to-date solution for the problems our bodies have to face in the modern world and it helps establish a deeply supportive balance in your life.

The CANTIENICA® method allows an evolution of your body and mind from inside out. By softly repositioning your bones to avoid contact between them, the joints are freed from any pressure and they regain their mobility. Maintaining this pursuit of freedom, the skeletal deep muscles are now trained. Great importance is attributed to the pelvic floor and the diaphragm. These huge inner muscles hold all our organs in place and despite being important, they are not normally given the attention they deserve in regular exercise programs. This strengthening of the deep muscles allows us to fight the gravitational pull and hold our body in an upright, healthy and powerful posture.

To an outsider, the CANTIENICA® method seems similar to yoga or pilates – you work on a mat, move between different positions and so on. In contrast to yoga though, CANTENIECA cuts out aspects like spirituality and competition and replaces them with a profound focus on yourself, your body and your health, while being deeply founded on proven scientific methods.

The idea is to find a new neutral and healthy way of holding our body in everyday positions like sitting, standing and lying down, allowing it to prepare for a long, better and more balanced life.

Our body deserves to be treated mindfully and lovingly so that we can go through life pain-free while taking pleasure in movement. Try it out. Perhaps it’s something for you?
